Suspension
The standard base suspension on Mustang is primed for responsive handling. Independent components add to the feeling of control you get with a Mustang and create a steady ride quality. The integral link, independent rear suspension helps minimize body roll and isolate road imperfections for a responsive ride and precise handling. Aluminum-alloy rear knuckles and H-arms help reduce unsprung mass.
MagneRide® Damping System
When road conditions change, the available MagneRide® Damping System responds – 1,000 times per second for each damper. The result is a smooth, balanced ride and the confidence to perform at your limits.
Transmissions
Mustang offers four available transmissions, the manual, 10-speed automatic, TREMEC® Rev Matching 6-speed manual and the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, each designed to get the most out of your vehicle. Standard on the Shelby® GT500,® the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is the first-ever dual-clutch transmission in a Mustang. The system comes with multiple modes to make for lightning-fast shifts whether you're on the street or the track.

If you're leaving for work early in the morning, set it for Quiet Start. Need an energy boost when you're leaving work? Select the Sport setting. Other modes are Normal and Track. Now available on all EcoBoost® engines.
Color Up
The 2021 Mustang makes a splash with new color options:

Inside, comfortable and conforming Recaro cloth sport seats support you while a Mach 1 IP badge with a unique chassis number complements the distinctive look and feel of the all-new Mustang Mach-1.*
Now Make It Yours
The Mach-1 Premium was built for precision on curves, on the straightaway and in the driveway. Its sculpted build includes 19-inch Magnetic-painted aluminum wheels, a bright 4.5-inch exhaust tip and a hood accent stripe. The premium design flows into the interior with aluminum pedals, a Dark Spindrift aluminum instrument panel and a white cue ball shift knob. So strap in to the cloth seats with driver memory recline, color-accents and climate control, and embrace the adrenaline.
Like Looking Down a Loaded Barrel
The Shelby GT500 uses race-inspired materials for a reason. A purpose-built cockpit with available RECARO® racing seats and a class-exclusive* 12-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster create the perfect environment for when you're maxing out this high-powered vehicle. On the outside, its aerodynamic design comes complete with a rear spoiler and the largest-ever hood vent on a Mustang. This intricate body rests on 20-inch flow-formed high-gloss black aluminum wheels, with the MagneRide® Damping System and Michelin® tires specifically developed for the GT500.

Also included are features like electronic line-lock and launch control.* Electronic line-lock keeps the front brakes locked while Mustang is in gear to warm up the rear tires. Launch control integrates brakes, traction control and powertrain control to help ensure smooth, consistent starts.
